North & South Redwood National & State Parks

Today we drove to the South & North Redwood National & State Parks.
The South Park was pretty boring, but the North Park was much more interesting and beautiful.
Of all the National Parks we've visited, these seemed to be the least structured.
There was no visitor's center.  Even the Saguaro National Parks had that.
Redwoods are the tallest trees on earth...growing to 348 ft.  They are huge!
Tomorrow morning we will be heading to Neskowin, Oregon for 2 nights.
Not much to do there, so I may get caught up on my laundry!

I believe this is Skunk Cabbage, growing in the South Park.

Elk are abundant in this area.  We've seen several of them.

Why would anyone do that?  At least anyone that's sober!

Elk beside the road...thank goodness they weren't
IN the road!

Elk in a field close to the road.

Our park from across the Klamath River

Redwoods...at first we thought the one in the
center was right in the road.

Nope...here comes a car from the left side of the tree.

A fallen Redwood.

The Klamath River running through the North Park.

The Klamath River.

Myrtle Beach???  I think we made a wrong turn.

These were the first calla lilies I have ever seen growing.

Not sure what this was, but it was beautiful!

Pretty flowers at the RNP Information Center.
