Fireworks Over Lake Walden

Tonight we had a cookout at Reid & Debbie's with their friends, Jim & Peggy.  We didn't have to travel too far, since they are camped right next to us.  After dusk, we watched the fireworks over Lake Walden.  They were good, but they sure have shortened up the show in the last couple of years.

Connor & Jillian???

Last weekend it was very hot in the tent when Jason & the kids woke up in the morning,
so they came inside the 5th wheel and we were shocked that Connor & Jillian actually fell
asleep NEXT TO EACH OTHER on the floor.  It's almost impossible to get a picture of
them sitting next to each other, much less have them share a blanket.  ;-)

The Bonds New Home

On June 30th we went to a party at Paul & Ericka's new home in Fenton.  It is a 150-year-old farmhouse and it is the perfect home for Ericka and her family.  She has already put her special touch on the house and it is just beautiful.  They also have a large in-ground pool, so the kids had a ball.

The dining room.

LOVE the clawfoot tub.  It reminded me of
my Grandpa's house.

Connor on the attack.
Jillian jumping into the pool.  She forgot her
bathing suit, so Ericka let her wear one of her boys'
bathing trunks with her tank top.  She looked like a
little ragamuffin, but she didn't care one bit.  She was
having a blast!

Shipshewana, Indiana

We spent a week in Shipshewana from June 17th - 24th.  There were 15 of us that gathered there for a week of good food, good friends and good times.  Bob still thinks that Shipshewana is an old Amish word that means "foraging for food".  Since his birthday (and Father's Day) were on the 17th, we celebrated with a carrot cake for him.

The birthday boy...

Reid & Debbie's puppy, Molly, with her new friend
Randy.  He was so tolerant of her and her wildness.

Definitely Amish country!
