Big Fun On Loon Lake

On Sunday we met Jason, Connor & Jillian at Kathy & Spyros' house for a fun day on Loon Lake. Connor, Jillian & Paul made several laps on the lake on a 3-man tube. One time they all went airborne and into the drink. Connor fell off a few times and when he did, Paul & Jillian would high-five each other. :-) I had to chose a few pics to post from the 315 Jason took with my camera. Yes, he is definitely MY son! :-)

14 boats and one anchor at the
sand bar. Party time, Loon Lake
style! Cheers, Kath!

Great Escape in Howell, MI

Last Thursday we treated Jason, Connor & Jillian to an evening at Great Escape. It's an indoor amusement place with go-karts, arcade, mini-golf, etc. Before we went there, Connor wanted to go to White Castle for dinner. So, we took them there. Bob & I realized that we had not been to a White Castle since Jason graduated from DeVry 15 years ago. After we tasted it, we knew it would be at least that long before we go to another one. I never thought I'd see the day that I spent $35.00 at White Castle. :-( On Friday, the kids went to Paul & Ericka's for Drew's birthday party and then on Saturday, they went with Jason to Michigan's Adventure Amusement & Water Park. On Sunday, we all met at Spyros' & Kathy's and the went tubing all afternoon. I would say they had a great week! :-)

Everest Owners Rally

The week of August 15th - 21st was our Everest Owners Rally in Shipshewana, Indiana. Bob & I were the hosts once again this year. It was a great rally and it seems like all we did was EAT! Bob has always thought that Shipshewana is an old Amish word that means "foraging for food". :-) As always, we were treated very well by Keystone - the manufacturer of our 5th wheels. It was great seeing old friends and meeting a few new ones. Roger and Margaret definitely win the prize for traveling the furthest...they are from San Jose, CA. We have already made plans to meet up with them when we are in CA this winter. Of the 15 rigs that were there, 6 of them are full-time RVers, like us. This is such a great lifestyle! Not only do we get to see numerous beautiful and interesting places, but we meet so many wonderful people that are enjoying life on the road, too.

Now that's a grill! Keystone cooking
up steaks, chicken and all the trimmings
for us at the campground.

Yet another food line.

"Be Prepared" seminar.

Bob did an excellent job with the fires.
He even relocated the fire pit for Margie.

Dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in
Middlebury. Once again, Keystone treated
us to a wonderful dinner.
