Livingston, MT to Rapid City, SD

Today we were planning to go to Buffalo, WY for one night.  However, Bob decided that he felt like driving all the way to Rapid City, SD to the park we were planning to arrive at tomorrow.  So, we cancelled the Buffalo reservation and added a day to the Rapid City reservation.  This is one of our "free" ROD parks, so it works out better for our budget.  The drive was just more of the same...we are both getting a little tired of pine trees...we've seen soooo many of them since we were in northern California.  We were also thinking we would be out of the mountains by now.  We had forgotten how hilly Rapid City is.  We will be here for 4 days now and are happy to not be on the move for a few days.  Our dryer is not working, so Bob is hoping we can get that taken care of while we are here.

A black llama

I don't know what these tiny deer are, but I saw
several of them last night on our way home from
Yellowstone National Park.  Today I saw 4 or 5
groups of them.  There is never any larger deer with
them.  They are all about the size of a medium dog.

The small deer again.
