Superstition Mountain Museum, January 28th

Last week we visited the Superstition Mountain Museum which is very close to where we are staying. We can see the Mountain from our campsite. They also have the "Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel" and a barn from the old Apacheland Movie Ranch, which are the only two buildings that survived two fires at the movie ranch. They were dismantled and moved to this site. Elvis filmed the movie "Charro!" at the Apacheland Movie Ranch and the chapel was part of that movie. When I walked into the chapel I was quite surprised to see the two guys standing at the front of the church. (See picture). The museum had many artifacts and interesting information about the mountains and the history of this area.

Ha.....you guys found a mini Memphis to keep your Elvis "habit" alive! Glad to see that you are still finding many new things to see and visit. Thanks for the card. Mark is doing better each day. He's kicked his walker habit and advanced to a quad cane now.
