Yesterday when we were travelling from Grand Canyon National Park to Camp Verde, AZ we went through the area near Flagstaff that the tornadoes touched down a couple of weeks ago. These pictures show some of the overturned train cars and the extensive damage to the Camping World store in Bellemont, AZ. We are in Camp Verde now for 2 weeks. We are just a few minutes from Sedona (my favorite place) and will certainly be visiting there as well as several other places in the area while we are here.
Overturned rail cars.
More of the overturned cars.
RVs destroyed at Camping World.
It gives me chills to see how much
damage RVs sustain in a tornado.
This is one of my biggest fears when
full-timing in an RV and one reason
that we now have a weather radio
that Bob religiously sets for whatever
county we are currently in.
Camping World.
Camping World.
Camping World. The building
looked fine, but their website
states that this store is closed
until further notice due to
tornado damage.
