Zion National Park, Springdale, Utahhhh

We spent 3 days this week in St. George, Utah and visited Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks while we were there.  I must say that Utah is a very beautiful state and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in that area.  We are now in Salt Lake City for a couple of days and are looking forward to doing some sightseeing tomorrow.  Below are some pictures from the breathtaking Zion National Park.  As we drove through the park, it was so gorgeous that it was hard to take it all in. 

Every turn opened up a new vista that was totally different than the previous one. 

It is definitely nature's beauty at it's finest!

Red Rock Canyon, Nevada

On Friday, we drove into Las Vegas to do some shopping and on the way back we went through Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.  It was so beautiful!!!  I just love the mountains and all the different colors and formations and these were exceptional.

 We saw 2 of these signs, but didn't see any tortoises.  We also saw

several signs saying not to feed the wild horses & burros.  We

didn't see any of them, either.  Bob says they don't come around

now because they know that nobody will feed them.

Meet Molly!

We're in Pahrump, NV with Reid & Debbie.  They have a new cocker spaniel puppy.  She is a little cutie, but sometimes she is too much for Lady.  We've been having a great time with Reid & Debbie and their friends, Dan & Rita.  Of course, we've spent a good deal of time at the casinos and last night Bob made $150.00 on a PENNY machine, which got us out of the red.  When you get up to $150.00 on a penny machine, it's time to take the loot & scoot!

The Price Is Right - April 2, 2012

We went to The Price Is Right taping on April 2nd.  Bob & I, along with my cousin Paul & his wife, Cheryl; my cousin Gwen and her daughter, Jamie & son-in-law, Mike; as well as Paul & Cheryl's friends, Jim & Geri went to the show.  We had to be at CBS Studios in Hollywood at 8:30 a.m., which meant we had to meet at Paul & Cheryl's house at 6:00 a.m. and we didn't finish with the show until 2:00 p.m.  :-(  The night before we were at Paul & Cheryl's making our t-shirts for the show.  They spelled out "McMichael", which is my cousins last name, since Cheryl reserved our tickets under "McMichael Family Reunion".  Unfortunately, none of us were picked to "Come On Down", but it was a fun experience and another item I can check off on my Bucket List.  Gwen's husband Jim stayed home with Charlie since he had hip surgery and couldn't go with us as planned.  After the show, Jim & Charlie met us at Vince's Spaghetti House for an early dinner.    Our show will air on April 26th and we are seated in the top right corner when they pan the audience.

is very tacky-looking when you see it in person. 

It was fun to see what goes into producing a game show!

Sunday with the McMichaels

Yesterday Paul called & asked us to meet them for dinner at the Outback Steakhouse.  He said his Uncle Charlie was going stir-crazy sitting in the house all week, so he wanted to go out.  When they arrived, we found out that our table for 5 was now a table for 10.  Their granddaughter, Jen, and grandson, Cody, were meeting them there and their son, Paul II, and his new wife, Wendy, and her daughter, Sarah, were also meeting us there.  We had a great time and then went over to Paul & Cheryl's for a while.  As usual, our sides ached when we left there from laughing so much.  Paul & Cheryl bought our dinner for Bob helping Paul at the shop on Saturday.  I love it when he earns us a free dinner!  Thanks again, Paul & Cheryl!

Roses again!

Bob went to work at my cousin Paul's shop on Saturday.  When he came home he was carrying a long, white box.  When I asked him what was in it, he replied, "donuts".  It was a dozen long-stemmed roses that are the biggest roses I have ever seen.  The buds are about 4 inches high.  I can't wait for them to open.  This is the 3rd time he's brought me roses this winter.  I must have been a good girl!  :-)

San Manuel Indian Casino - Highland, CA

On Friday, Bob was going stir crazy and wanted to find someplace to go.  He suggested that I go on-line and look for a local casino.  I found the San Manuel Casino in Highland, so we headed over there in the afternoon.  We were there about 1 1/2 hours and came out $400.00 richer.  :-)  I was the big winner for a change.  When we left there we went to my cousin Paul's and visited for a while.
