The week of August 15th - 21st was our Everest Owners Rally in Shipshewana, Indiana. Bob & I were the hosts once again this year. It was a great rally and it seems like all we did was EAT! Bob has always thought that Shipshewana is an old Amish word that means "foraging for food". :-) As always, we were treated very well by Keystone - the manufacturer of our 5th wheels. It was great seeing old friends and meeting a few new ones. Roger and Margaret definitely win the prize for traveling the furthest...they are from San Jose, CA. We have already made plans to meet up with them when we are in CA this winter. Of the 15 rigs that were there, 6 of them are full-time RVers, like us. This is such a great lifestyle! Not only do we get to see numerous beautiful and interesting places, but we meet so many wonderful people that are enjoying life on the road, too.
Now that's a grill! Keystone cooking
up steaks, chicken and all the trimmings
for us at the campground.
Yet another food line.
Pat and Roger during Pat's
"Be Prepared" seminar.
Part of the gang around the campfire.
Bob did an excellent job with the fires.
He even relocated the fire pit for Margie.
Dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in
Middlebury. Once again, Keystone treated
us to a wonderful dinner.
This is Reid & Debbie's cocker spaniel,
Lady. She has her sad face on because
she doesn't know when she will meet up
with Uncle Bob & Aunt Nancy again.
