Lunch With The Girls

Shirley, Charleen, Nadean & Me

Today I met 3 of the girls I graduated with for lunch at the Lion's Den in Waterford. Charleen was in town from San Antonio, TX and she invited us to meet her. Nadean & Shirley still live in the area and so the four of us met. What a great visit! We were there for 3 1/2 hours and still didn't catch up on everything. We're going to have to get together more frequently. I tried to invite Pam, but she was out of town on vacation. Maybe next time.

Brooke's Open House - July 25th

My niece, Brooke's open house was Saturday. It rained hard in the morning, but then it cleared up and it was a beautiful day once the party started. We had a great time and the grandkids were in the lake most of the day - either swimming or kayaking. I was a little remiss in my picture taking that day - I didn't even get a picture of the graduate or the cake. :-( Spyros set off several fireworks at dusk. It was a great show! The real fun was late Sunday when Bob, Spyros, Kathy & I got into the helium and were talking like munchkins. I've never seen Spyros laugh so hard! What a riot!!! :-)

Some Fun Pics...

Grandpa with Connor, Jillian and the Bond boys, Drew, Ethan & Gage

Jillian with her new goggles. :-)

We bought the kids new swim goggles, fins and snorkels and they couldn't wait until we got back to their house to try them out. (Neither could their Dad!)

My sister, Sue, trying on some goodies for the garage sale.

:-) We were all getting slap-happy by then!

Brooke's Prom

On May 29th my niece, Brooke, attended her
Senior Prom with her boyfriend, Michael. We
took my parents to Kathy's house so they could
see Brooke before they left for the prom.

Our Everest Rally at Natchez Trace State Park

The 1st week of May we went to Tennessee for our Everest Owners Rally. We had been staying with my Dad for 3 weeks and it was a welcome break! My Mom came home from the hospital the day before we left. She had been in there for 26 days. We had a great time at the rally, although the weather didn't cooperate. It was the wettest rally we've had. Bob & I are in charge of our rally next month in Shipshewana, IN and we sure hope the weather is better then!

Connor's 4th Grade Concert

On May 21st we went to Connor's Concert. He did a number called "Surfin' USA" and it was really cute!

Sorry It's Been Soooooo Long!

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted on here. We have been super-busy since returning to Michigan. We have moved my parents into an assisted living apartment and had a huge garage sale at their house. Whew...45 years of accumulation sure makes a lot of work! My Dad went into Beaumont Hospital last month and is now at Woodward Hills Rehab Center to try and build up his strength and keep him from falling so often. My Mom now has a spot on her other leg that has to be treated. It was accidently bumped with a wheelchair and that's all it takes. Her left leg is doing amazingly well. The doctor at the wound care center is amazed at how well it has healed without skin grafts.

I downloaded the pics that have been on my camera today and realized that I need to post some on here!

As you can see, we've been taking excellent care of Mom & Dad (with a little help from their friend, "Jack"!) :-)
